About Literal Sounds Labs
Literal Sounds Labs is an independent audio software project by Michel Figueiredo, creating experimental plugins for musicians, sound designers, composers and sonic artists.
The work explores the space between music technology, science, pattern systems and sound art. Each plugin is built around a distinct concept — from geomagnetic activity and quantum-inspired effects to Fibonacci structures, Morse code rhythm, image-to-audio translation and spatial sound movement.
Rather than copying conventional studio tools, Literal Sounds Labs focuses on instruments and effects with a clear identity: tools that invite discovery, performance and unexpected textures. The plugins are designed for creative use in DAWs, live setups, installations, experimental composition, ambient music, electronic production and audiovisual work.
All plugins are developed independently under the Literal Sounds Labs name, combining sound design, programming and artistic research into practical tools for real-world music production.
